Meet the Client Care Team

Ian qualified as a diagnostic radiographer [DCR(R)] at the Cumberland School of Radiography, Carlisle in 1979. His work in general radiography has taken him to many parts of the UK and abroad, working in both the NHS and private sectors. Since the early 1990s, Ian has specialised in MRI, meaning he’s been involved in the speciality since its infancy!

For the last 15 years, Ian has worked with purely veterinary MRI, scanning mainly companion animals but also a number of exotic species including primates; big cats; a giant panda and a shark!

Despite leaving Carlisle in 1980, Ian is still a proud Cumbrian and long suffering fan of Carlisle United FC.

Lisa joined the Oakwood Reception team in February 2019, after working at Alsager Vet Centre for over 2 years.

She adores cats, and at home she has a Lilac Ragdoll called Rosie. She has recently adopted a rescue poodle cross called Charlotte. Lisa enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, hiking and camping.

Rebecca joined the reception team in December 2020 having worked in the Veterinary industry for 16 years. Outside of work Rebecca thoroughly enjoys taking her miniature Schnauzers out walking in the great outdoors.

Tash joined the Oakwood team in April 2019. She has a degree in Animal Welfare & Behaviour, and she has worked in rescue centres in the past. Tasha has 2 sons, and 2 dogs. She enjoys going on holiday and having days out as a family.

Kathryn joined Oakwood in November 2021 after a career in aviation. Out of work her time is taken up by her husband and two sons. Kathryn loves being around animals and is currently looking to home a new puppy.

Collette joined the Oakwood team in December 2023, she has previously worked in an equine veterinary practice and has years of animal care experience. In her spare time she like to ride her horse Boissy and also has two new Rottweiler additions Winnie and Heidi as well as an older one called Sabre who all enjoy their walking! Collette also has a love of rabbits with over 14 she keeps at home.

Liz joined Oakwood in December 2023, bringing 10 years of customer service experience to the Oakwood reception team. Outside of work, Liz stays busy with her many hobbies; photography, mixology, yoga, graphic/resin design and taking care of her 2 cats and French bulldog Coco-Bean.
